Zimbabwe

The Republic of Zimbabwe is a landlocked country of 15 million people located in southern Africa, and Harare is known as its capital and largest city. It is adjacent to Mozambique, Botswana, South Africa and Zambia and gained independence in 1980, and its official currency is the US dollar, but many currencies are also popular; it should be noted that China is currently Zimbabwe’s largest trading partner.

Agriculture employs about two-thirds of the country’s labor force, and products such as tobacco, sugarcane, cotton, and wheat are the country’s export goods. Zimbabwe’s natural resources also include goods such as coal, gold, fireproof cotton and nickel, and Victoria Falls is considered one of the most beautiful wonders of this country.

According to the report of the Iran and Africa Business Club from the International Trade Center, the total trade of Zimbabwe in 2021 was more than 12 billion dollars, the share of goods exports from this country was more than 6 billion dollars, and the export of metals and precious stones, nickel and ore is at the top of Zimbabwe’s export products. In addition, the most exports of this country have been made to South Africa, United Arab Emirates and Mozambique, respectively.

According to this report, the total value of imported goods to Zimbabwe in 2021 has reached 7 billion and 500 million dollars, and the first 5 items on the import list of this country are fuel and petroleum products, machinery and mechanical equipment, vehicles. Fertilizers and pharmaceutical products, and the first 3 countries supplying products to Zimbabwe were South Africa, Singapore and China, respectively.

According to the customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the last 3 years, exports from Iran to Zimbabwe have been close to zero, but in the same three-year period, Iran has imported a total of 18 million dollars of tobacco from Zimbabwe.
