The Islamic Republic of Mauritania is an independent country in the West Africa, which is  the neighbor of Algeria, Senegal and the Atlantic Ocean. The country of Mauritania is large, but more than 90% of it is desert, resulting in a dry and hot climate, and one third of its 5 million people live in the city of Nouakchott  which is the capital and almost 100%  of them are Muslim  who speak Arabic and French as official languages ­ This country officially declared its independence in  1960.

According to the report of the Iran and Africa Business Club from the International Trade Center, the total trade of Mauritania in  2021 is 8 billion & The share of exports of goods from this country was more than  3 billion dollars .The export of iron, all kinds of fish and stones and precious and semi-precious metals is at the top of Mauritania’s export products, the most exports of this country have been made to China, Italy and Canada , respectively  In addition, the export of technical engineering services from Mauritania In  2020  has reached 182 million dollars

According to this report, the total value of imported goods to Mauritania in  2021 was 3  billion and 800 million dollars, the first 5 items of the country’s import list are fuel and oil products, machinery and mechanical equipment, vehicles, Medicines and And The first countries supplying products to Mauritania were Spain , United Arab Emirates and France. Also Importing technical- engineeing services to Mauritania In  2020  was 850  million dollars.

According to the report of the customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the export of non-oil goods from Iran to Mauritania in  2021  has reached the amount of  500  thousand dollars, which includes the iron and steel. There is no record of products being imported to Iran from Mauritania in 2021.
